David Rhodes – David has more than 25 years’ experience leading teams in information technology and software development. In 2000, he joined TransactTools, a startup focused on protocols and tools for electronic trading. He led the team providing software and services to Archipelago, a Chicago-based electronic exchange for stocks, options and bonds. In 2007, both companies were acquired by the New York Stock Exchange.
In 2008, he joined Chicago Trading Company, a market maker for options on several exchanges in the U.S. and Europe. He led software teams through rebuilds of the core market making and market data systems. As Director of Software Development, he grew the development and trading support staff to 70 people, and led the team through a reorganization to better align with the operations and goals of the business. David earned his B.A. in Economics from Rice University and his M.B.A. from Texas Tech University.
Dennis Chookaszian – Dennis, is the former chairman and CEO of CNA Insurance Companies, which was a $17 billion multi-line insurer with 20,000 employees. In his 26 years at CNA, Chookaszian served in numerous other executive capacities, including chief financial officer, president and chief operating officer where he was responsible for all property, casualty, life, health, and investment operations, and chairman of the Executive Committee.
Prior to joining CNA, Dennis was a management consultant with Deloitte for eight years working on various financial and systems related assignments. He also served as Chairman and CEO of mPower, an internet startup providing electronic financial advice for management of 401K plans.
Chookaszian has served as a director on the boards of eleven publicly traded corporations and currently serves on the boards of Allscripts, a healthcare systems company, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the world’s largest derivatives exchange, Career Education, a private post-secondary education provider, Internet Patents Corp, an internet intellectual property company, and MacDonald Dettwiler, an information services company. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University, an MBA degree in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics. In 2010, Mr. Chookaszian received the Outstanding Director Award from the Financial Times Outstanding Directors Exchange.
Paul Furlow – Paul co-founded and is co-president of Dixon Midland Company. On behalf of Dixon Midland Fund I, Paul led the acquisition of Tech Lighting and served as its co-president from 2000 to 2003. At Tech Lighting, Paul focused on operations, product quality, and product development. On behalf of Dixon Midland Fund II, Paul led the acquisitions and subsequent oversight of Barcodes Inc and Tech For Less. Paul’s prior work experience includes working at McKinsey & Company and Wasserstein Perella & Co. Paul has an MBA from Stanford and an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Paul grew up in Midland, Michigan where his father worked for The Dow Chemical Company. Paul and his wife Asha have two children.

Bob Mariano – Bob started his supermarket career in 1967 as a part-time deli clerk at a Chicago Dominick’s store. He became CEO of Dominick’s in 1995 and was tapped to lead Roundy’s, based in Milwaukee, in 2002. Mariano opened his first namesake grocery store, owned by Roundy’s, in 2010. Today there are 34 Mariano’s stores in the Chicago area. In 2015, Kroger, the Cincinnati-based grocery giant, announced it would buy Roundy’s. Mariano remained at the helm of both the Mariano’s chain and the 117 Wisconsin supermarkets that Roundy’s operates, mostly under the Pick ‘n Save name until his retirement in 2016.
Chris Strahorn – Chris Strahorn experience spans all aspects of the software business including the development, sales, implementation, and support of solutions deployed at some of the largest companies in the world, during which they have had responsibility for hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. He has participated in the acquisition of more than 20 software companies, as a part of which, he has conducted business and technical due diligence on more than forty companies offering SaaS and on premise products across a variety of industries.
Steve Loveridge – Steve earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Nottingham University UK. Steve’s career path in information technology for retail supply chain caused his relocation to the United States where he subsequently founded Applied Data Corporation (ADC) in 1989 in Tampa, Florida. Under Steve’s guidance ADC continued to specialize in the evolution of technology solutions for the retail fresh food sector, allowing ADC to become a leading provider of Fresh Item Management (FIM) software to maintain food retailer efficiency and profitability.
